NLP Coaching Sessions

I offer online NLP Coaching sessions from my UK based Hypnotherapy service. NLP Coaching is a transformational coaching process which can be used to help shift limiting beliefs, unhelpful behaviour patterns and perspectives. It is an approach rooted in neuroscience, which uses the ability to reorganise neural networks in the brain due to neuroplasticity. 

What is NLP?

NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming), is a psychology based approach which can be can be used as a form of therapy and therapeutic coaching. It can help transform the way the mind processes and perceives experiences, and change unhelpful beliefs and behaviours. 

If you’ve ever found yourself sabotaging things that you know you really want, or procrastinating over things that you know you want to do, it could be a limiting belief driving those behaviours.

This can look like exploding a relationship by causing arguments that aren’t necessary or constantly picking holes in your partner’s actions.

Or you might stay up all night scrolling on social media, even though you know you have an important job interview the next day.

Limiting beliefs can even make you isolate yourself even when you know you want connection or to find love.

These behaviours are usually maladaptive protection strategies, formed around life experiences that caused you to feel afraid or insecure. 

Your brain then forms a neural network that links all of the information stored in that experience, which gets activated any time you’re faced with something similar.

Using NLP Coaching, it is possible to identify and transform limiting beliefs, helping “rewire” the neural network in the brain to include more helpful ways of seeing and feeling about things.  

This can lead to more balanced ways of experiencing challenges, healthier communication in relationships, letting go of fears or phobias holding you back from living the life you want and generally feeling more calm and at peace within yourself.

What Happens in an NLP Coaching Session

At the start of your NLP Coaching journey, we’ll explore what you want to achieve and some of the ways you’re struggling to move forward. You might already be aware of your subconscious blocks, but if not we’ll discover these together and explore any patterns that keep showing up in your life.

NLP Coaching is a creative process which uses techniques to help you understand your problems and find ways to move through them. We might use exercises based in hypnotherapy, guided visualisation, mindfulness and other therapeutic models to help you achieve this.

NLP Coaching is different to therapy, although we may use therapeutic techniques to help you overcome blocks and challenges. One of the main differences between coaching and therapy, is that with NLP Coaching, the main focus is on moving you forward, rather than resolving the past.

However, there may sometimes be beliefs that linger from the past which need addressing in order for you to move past these blocks. This is why NLP Coaching can be so transformational, because it blends therapeutic practices with forward centric coaching techniques.

How Do I Know If I Need Therapy or NLP Coaching?

The choice between therapy or coaching depends on what feels right for you and where you are in your personal development journey. Some people find the idea of therapy a bit daunting and might feel more comfortable with the idea of coaching instead.

NLP Coaching is a great option for people who who feel this way, as we can tackle the past at the same time as moving you forward, without it becoming too overwhelmingly focused on analysing past experiences or “why” you ended up this way.

However, for some people coaching may not be enough, as there may be too much unhealed trauma or emotionally triggering experiences to resolve first. If you’re wondering whether you need NLP Coaching or therapy, here’s some guidance on how to decide which approach might suit you.

NLP Coaching could be right for you if:

  • You’ve had lots of therapy and feel like you’ve resolved issues from the past but still feel stuck.
  • You know what you want to achieve in life but subconsciously you keep holding yourself back.
  • Your behaviours are out of alignment with your conscious beliefs. E.g. you know you want to apply for a promotion but you end up missing the deadline by procrastinating or overthinking it.
  • You want to change the way you think about things and work on your perception.
  • You’re interested in learning personal development and self-hypnosis techniques to overcome challenges.
  • NLP Coaching can also be very helpful for people who are neurodivergent, as it can help break unhelpful patterns and build more achievable routines.

Therapy might be better for you if:

  • You’ve had an extremely traumatic childhood or have unresolved trauma in your past.
  • You struggle with intense anxiety, OCD or depression.
  • Addictive or compulsive behaviours are affecting you on a daily basis.
  • You have intense emotional or physical reactions to stress or emotional challenges.
  • Your self-esteem is very fragile and you struggle with low self-worth issues.
  • Life feels meaningless or hopeless and you have no motivation to change.
  • You are driven by fear and have deep beliefs of not being good enough, being unlovable, bad or worthless.
  • You’re having thoughts about being better off dead or harming your self in some way.

My NLP Coaching Fees, Packages and Benefits

£135 p/h

I offer single sessions from £135 per hour. These sessions are perfect for ad hoc hypnosis therapy on a PAYG basis.

Packages From £255

You can choose from packages starting at £255 for 2 sessions per month, and a range of other options to suit different budgets.
